The current bonus is nice. What I really enjoy is that the CSO typically drives the mission on the airframes we're on. The pilots take the plane to the objective, and the CSO works to execute the mission. Think U-28's or AC-130's. It's a good job if you enjoy being part of a team and if your ego can handle not being the center of attention.
